Sharp Aquos Quattron LED TV

Sharp TV Aquos QuattronSharp have recently been generating a lot of publicity surrounding their new range of Sharp TV sets, the Sharp Aquos Quattron LED TV range. This new range of LED and 3D TVs promises huge improvements in viewing experiences from a manufacturer that is highly regarded in the industry for their technological advancements…if not their user friendliness!

The televisions in the Sharp Aquos range have many common features and some important differences. They range in screen size from forty inches to the LE925 model at a big sixty inches. They all give a high definition picture at full 1080p HD and they are all LED TVs, providing outstanding picture quality using Sharp’s Aquos technology.

The other main technological advancement which is incorporated into these Sharp LED TVs is the Quattron system. Traditionally televisions have used the three colors of red, green, and blue to artificially generate a full color spectrum. In the Sharp Aquos Quattron range yellow is also introduced  to improve color gradations, contrast, brightness, and overall picture quality. This is a world first by Sharp, and they claim that it provides one thousand times more color than any other TV.

This benefits of this technology can best be seen in a Sharp TV Aquos Quattron such as the top of the range LE925 model. The only other television in the Sharp Aquos range which has 3D capabilities is the LE835 model with a forty-six inch screen. Both sets utilise the Quattron technology along with scanning backlight at 200 Mhz and film dejudder to provide exceptional picture quality in both two dimensions and three. The pictures in 3D especially are clear and vivid, and a Sharp TV also has the ability to simulate 3D images from 2D programmes, although the pictures are not as good as native 3D by some stretch.

The other technological system which Sharp uses to render stunning quality 3D images is the Frame Rate Enhanced Driving system. This is used in conjunction with the scanning backlight to control picture brightness and ensure that a consistent 3D image is produced to viewers at all times. This minimises “crosstalk”, where the independent images for each eye overlap to create a sense of double vision. The technology in a new Sharp 3D TV has also resulted in a screen brightness which is almost twice as high as in previous models.

Every Sharp Aquos LED TV is thin and light enough to be wall mounted to enhance viewing experiences. They are attractive enough to look good on any wall with their black fronts and silver frames. They also have the added benefit of having excellent energy consumption rates. All of the TVs in the Sharp Aquos Quattron range come with an integrated media player, and the higher end models also incorporate Aquos NET + for immediate internet access.

The sound on these TVs is also impressive, although not classed as top of the range as with the picture quality,  with Dolby Surround Sound as standard. In terms of connectivity they all come extremely well equipped. Users can expect to find four HDMI ports as well as one each for SCART, AV, component in, VGA, and USB. There is also an individual headphone socket incorporated into each Sharp LED TV.

Sharp’s reputation for creating televisions which produce high quality images is justified in the case of the Sharp TV Aquos Quattron range. The world first technology incorporated in these TV’s has allowed images to be created which are bright, vivid, and crisp. In addition, the range of connectivity and media features means that this range offers an attractive package overall.
