Samsung UN65C6500 LED TV

This is a BIG Samsung LED TV – this is cinema for the home! I got invited round to a friend’s place to watch one of these monsters and boy what fun it was!

You gotta have a big room to get the best effect from this amazing Samsung LED TV 65. If you haven’t got a sizeable viewing room, then don’t get this TV set, it will overwhelm your room. And, with a significant price tag, you really do need to be sure you have a room big enough to cope with this beast of a Samsung UN65C6500 LED TV.

A full LED TV boasting a crystal pixelated screen with full 1080p HD, it was the most detailed available on release.Having said that with a 65 Inch screen size I thought Samsung may have been better to wait for 240 Hz technology to release something this size. I agree it may have made the price too high when it was released, but having said that the pciture is superb and performance wasn’t noticeably effected to the negative.

I have a 46 inch LED screen at home and for the space I have that suits well. My firend scertainly has a bigger viewing room, and despite my home set being 240Hz, I really didn’t notice the difference once we got stuck into a replay of last weeks Flash Forward from the HD box.

Action sequences were smooth and accurate and of course colors were sharp, bright and the contrast with deep blacks superb. We did play 5 minutes with just the TV sound and as with most LED TV’s the sound directly from the set itself is not wonderful. But, hooked up to the home theater system makes all the difference and offers an excellent all round viewing experience.

I thought I might find going back to my own 46 inch a bit of a come down, but I do genuinely believe that the viewing room size to TV set size is the important factor here.

I loved watching the Samsung UN65C6500 LED TVbut my firends set up is different, he specifically has a viewing room, just for his 65 inch wonder! My viewing area is more “public” so I think it’s horses for courses.

Again as with all LED TVs the Samsung UN65C6500 has all the power saving facets of all LED TV’s so…it’s kind to your pocket and the environment.

It’s also DNLA compatible which means you’re able to plug and play most makes of computer and even mobile devices.

Finally the Samsung UN65C6500 LED TV is ultra slim and looks really rather good, but then so does my 46 incher! If you have the viewing room size and a budget to match the Samsung LED TV UN65C6500 is an excellent LED television and has been a bestseller since I’ve been running this site. One word of caution, Samsung are sure to upgrade and come out with a 240Hz version sooner or later. I might be tempted to hold on until that happens, but in all honesty that is nit picking.
