LED TV Reviews 46 and 47 Inch

I only recently upgraded from a 46 Inch to a 55 Inch but I was chatting to a TV buddy who said that we didn’t have many LED TV Reviews of 46 and 47 Inch Televisions! So, I said we’d rectify that even though it does seem that the larger screen sizes are becoming more popular. Certainly as technology gets more advanced, a bigger screen doesn’t necessarily mean a poor picture even if you’re viewing fairly close. I’d been quite happy with my Samsung UN46B8000 LED TV and it is still a superb LED TV. It now adorns the spare room where I am regularly deposited by my Gorgeous Wife should I be desirous of watching a little Hockey or Soccer.

However, I had been hankering after something new so we did upgrade to a 55 Inch Samsung UN55D8000. We did this for three reasons. Firstly we wanted to go more “cinematic” for our main viewing area. Seocndly we now had more sources of content we wanted to view. So we took the opportunity to add Internet Apps and wireless which were not available on the previous Samsung LED TV (the 46 Inch). And of course, the kids had been nagging about 3D (I don’t know why they’re never in)!

Now when all is said and done it really depends on what you want or need from your LED TV.

• Do you want 3D?
• Do you want 240 or 120Hz?
• Do you want to go full 1080p HD?
• Do you want (need) Internet Apps and wireless…I guess it depends if you want to stream movies and content to your main TV?

The Un46B8000 was strictly a TV viewing TV…if that makes sense? Great LED TV picture, an early 240Hz, 1080p, full HD set, it was pure beauty to watch. Motion blur totally eradicated, crisp, clear and vibrant. Amazing contrast and it made my favorite action movies and sport a truly joyful experience when a full native HD source was the input.

If truth be told, I love both LED TV sets! I really enjoy 3D now I’ve got used to it and the kids watch 3D whenever they are in and can.

But this is an item about  LED TV 46 inch sets…so I am getting sidetracked.

Truth be told for an average viewing room a 46 Inch LED TV is plenty big enough. I can remember when a 24 inch CRT TV was a luxury! The summer of 2011 will see the first 72 inch screens!

Samsung UN46B8000 - Top of the range Samsung from May 2009 – still a stunning LED TV

The latest Samsung D Series the UN46D6400 – now with full native 3D

The LG Infiniatm LX9500 47 Inch LED TV – some great advances in technology and features at a great price, well done on this one LG!

The new Vizio 3D LED TV at 47 inches. Great strides by Vizio recently and now well worth consideration, excellent features as standard all for under $1,500.
